Description

Siwa town population 22,000. 60 feet below sea level on the edge of the Great Sand Sea. The EcoLodge "Adrère Amellal Oasis" is incredible. Dinner is served at a different open air venue each night. There is no electricity & lantern paths light the way to the dining areas. Tours of the sand dunes are offered each day by jeep. There are approximately 1,000 sweet water springs in the area. Date farming and organic fruits and vegetables and tourism sustain the mainly Bedoin population.

Ray, I think that you should consult your references, or - visit Siwa as I did. Yes, Berbers are predominant in western parts in Sahara, and Siwa is only Berber oasis in Egypt.

Indigenous Arab people who inhabit this regions' dessets (i.e., Egypt) are BEDOINS. Berbers are most in Morroco & West Africa.
