In spite of the snowy peaks shown in the picture, Newbury Park is blessed with 9 months of spring-like weather. The town resides in a small valley of its own and is only minutes from Pacific Ocean beaches. Ski slopes are about two hours away. This is one of the very few places in the world where residents can truthfully boast that "one could ski in the morning and tan at the beach in the afternoon"
