Multnomah Falls is the tallest measured waterfall in Oregon, and easily one of, if not the most famous waterfall in the Pacific Northwest. The falls drop over 600 feet in two tiers, the largest being just shy of 550 feet. It's rather common to see the falls referenced as being 620 feet tall, which likely takes into account a small 10 foot waterfall at the top of the falls referred to as "Little Multnomah Falls".

Multnomah is the single most spectacular waterfall in the area, but there are lots of hikes throughout the Columbia River Gorge that take you to more isolated but equally lovely falls.
